Harley BOOM speakers are well worth it.

Just installed the HD boom speakers on my streetglide,and they sound great.It took me about 30 min to install them which made it even better.The speakers are at least 50% louder and so much more clear, not to mention they look good to. $150 well spent. If you like your tunes to be loud and clear then I highly recommend them.

Havent got to here those yet.Honestly I couldnt imagine them being much better.Now I only have to turn the volume up a quarter of the way now to hear it loud and clear,half way to let others in a 100 foot radius to hear and wide open to piss the crazy neighbors off.lol

A freind of mine has the Boom speakers on his CVO SG and his radio will drown mine out going down the road. It is a big difference in sound quality.

any chance of posting a sound clip? did you upgrade just the speakers? or did you upgrade the head unit as well? i am looking at the BOOM! XM radio head unit and the speakers.

Is 50% by dyno or seat of the pants? Find it hard to believe that just speakers would make that much difference. My dealer wasn't even able to look them up for my SG. I went with Hogtunes speakers and amp. Less than pleased for the money.

What's install like? Through the speaker hole or do you have to take the fairing apart. Re use speaker covers or get new ones?

The BOOM! XM isn't a new head-unit, it is just an auxiliary unit that plugs into the back of the stock Advanced Audio system.

Thanks for the review of the BOOM! speakers. I may have to give them a try.

You have to take the front of the fairing apart and you use new grills with tweeters in them. They look nice installed also. Simple plug and play.
