In my opinion I think gymnastics is the hardest non extreme sport, because gymnastics makes you so tough like my old coach would never let the older girls date, my parents took me out of school so I could do gymnastics 6 days a week for 6 to 7 hours. My coaches were plain mean they told me I was to tall to be a gymnast. The coaches always told you something they didn't like about what I did and usually included doing pushups, my parents took me out of there and put me back in school and gym is still crazy I go 5 times a week for 5 hours. But the coaches tease you and mentally abuse you. I don't know about a lot of other sports I know a lot about hockey my dad and brother love it. Everyguy I know does it and they all make fun of me saying i'm a wimp and all male gymnasts are gay.

What do you think is harder hockey or gymnastics?
Also I don't know how much chance of an injury there is with hockey but with gymnastics I know there is alot, I broke both my ankles and sprained my wrist twice.

Isnt gymnastics more of an activity than a sport??? Id say hockey dominates gymnastics....

I actually respect the hell out of how hard gymnastics is, but umm.... "gymnastics makes you so tough"? You and I must have different defintions of the word "tough". If I punched a gymnast and a hockey player in the face, I have a better chance of dropping the gymnast in one punch. You lot are certainly disciplined, admittedly, but I have to disgaree that gymnastics makes you tough.

As for which sport is harder, it's incredibly difficult to say without just picking one randomly or by bias. I have never seriously trained for gymnastics, and I'm willing to bet you've never seriously trained for hockey. As both sports require a grueling amount of preparation before one is good, it seems nearly impossible to determine which regiment is more grueling without going through both.

I will say that playing hockey actually attracts girls, while male gymnastics usually does not, so I'm willing to give the nod to gymnastics being harder for that reason alone.

Water Polo!!! I played it once, that sh*t is so hard!!! You have to stay up for 20 mins straight with no breaks and swim back and forth and throw and catch a ball.

Hockey is really greuling because it's 60 minutes of none stop skating, hitting, shooting etc, Gymnastics is greuling as well as for all the training you have to do to be able to hold your self up on the bars, beams whatever. So take hockey as holding yourself up on a beam for 30 minutes with people constantly throwing things at you, pushing you, etc.
