Rotties for life!

My 15 yr old son noticed a hard, non-moveable small lump on the back of his head (at the base of his skull on the left side) Said it does not hurt and there is no sign of injury. It does not feel like it protrudes out a lot but rather into the skull. It is not red or swollen. I just kept an eye in it for about one month (figured he bumped it) and when we went into the docotor because he was in so much pain from eczema, which he typically had just on arms and legs but is now covering his entire body, we asked the doctor about the lump. He gave him anitbotics and told him if it was not better he may need to biopsy it. He took the med, we go back to the doctor's and see someone different, he says since there is no discoloration, that there is nothing to worry about. Says we never should have taken the antibotics for this. I hope the first doc was wrong but i hate to dismiss this if it really needs to be looked at.
