hi everyone its been a while since i have posted. first thing i would like to say is happy mothers days to you all!! i been having a problem for the last week or so now. i had a fusion wit roRAB and screws and a spacer and a internal bone stimulator on l4,5 s1. i have been having like a stinging and pain right above my right butt cheek just below my lower back. would anyone have any idea what it could be or have the same thing? i have a dr.s appt with my primary doctor this week but was hoping to get some info from here. hope all is well with you all tahnks julie
 
DId you have sciatica pain before the surgery...was it also in this area? I did and they tell me it is residual "nerve" pain...It feels almost bruised. It seems to be getting a bit better...My PLIF was 13 weeks ago.

Does ice help?

yes i did before surgery and i still do now. i had a mri about 3 weeks ago and its showing alot of scar tissue and its pushing on my sciatica nerve. my dr. wants me to start theraphy and go to pain management. i'm still waiting on everything. i'm not sure if they forgot about me or the palces just haven't called me yet with the appt.'s. it has been a few weeks since my last appt. if i don't hear anything by the end of the week i'm gonna give them a call. thanks julie
