Handy Weather - N80

I have downloaded a trial of Handy Weather and installed the software OK on the Phone.

I can access the internet using my "3" access point and my wireless router at home.

I have the internet package to allow internet browsing.

However, I can not use eithee access point to update weather data.

I have re-installed the program and turned the phone off and on.

I have used these access points to update the free virus checker OK.

Anyone else got any suggestions?

I have emailed epocware without any help back.

The trial will run out soon, so no sale for them if it does.

I think I have tried everything..........
 
HandyWeather is overrated in an case, especially for $15. Pocket Weather on Windows Mobile is far better.

You can use a freeware called Mweather on S60 3rd, which grabs weather data from yahoo feeds. All free. Done deal - and it works. Dont bother paying for Handy Weather.
 
Handy Weather does a couple things Mweather doesn't though. You can set your screensaver to display the current weather and there are a bunch more menus than on Mweather. Nonetheless, I don't think it's worth $15. Maybe $10 at most, but not $15.
 
I know what the extras are but as you said mWeather does so much of the necessary parts that $15 for a screen saver is exposed as a crazy price.
 
Lets put it this way, I've been here alomst three years. In that time farmers in the south of England have actually started to grow Olives, and the unknown wine industry have started to expand their vineyards. Who said global warming has no benefits? ;-)

And yeah - mWeather rocks!
 
W99ddy, you do know that your 30M web access from Three is to access "thier" favourite web sites , not any web site. Alot of small web sites are not accessible from 3 with your internet plan.

When I had a V3X this was true. Browsing through the web browser icon on an N80, you can access all sites unrestricted.

When you browse through the services icon some sites are restricted.

I wouldnt have bothered with the add on if I could only surf on 3 approved sites.
 
Blige, When I first got my N80 on 3 I went for the "Internet 30" option but could not get any of "My" sites so I had to go to the ?15 a month Wireless Web 56 option.

I shall switch back and see if it works for me.

I would do that.

I had problems when I first switched to Internet 30. No access.

They tried to sell me the Wireless web also.

It turned out that there was a problem activating the Internet 30.

It now works fine.

You can access any site on the phone. I turn show images oof to minimise the usage. Still works great.

You have been mis-sold the add on!

Use the web icon to access or opera not the services icon.

Still cant update the Handy weather though through 3 access only wi-fi when at home.

Penreader tech support were no help at all.

The issue is still unresolved........
 
I have just download the trial version and updated the weather via "3" on the Wireless Web 56. I worked fine.

I will change to the Internet 30 over the weekend and try it again.
