Handcent SMS making secret phone calls?

I have a pre-paid card sim card, which i charge usually once a month. However, sinds i have my wildfire its not enough. So you may think its because i'm always using the internet. (And your wright, i do) But i buy "internet packs". For example: i buy a pack for 10? and i get 200MB for this 10?. And after that, its over. So i can't spend more then i buy, unless i buy more. So that can't be the problem. My SMS messages are free, so thats not costing me money either. The only things that is costing me money are my phone calls. And even though i'm not making phone calls, my card is still dicharging(money is going of). At the rate of about 1? a day! So i started with a hard reset, just installed the apps i needed and checked if the problem still occured. (and it did) So i deleted app by app, and tested to see if it made any difference. But the problem continued. But after i deleted HANDCENT SMS, my card is not discharging anymore. So is it possible that this "free app" is making secret phone calls and eating all my money? Does anybody has experience with this? Can somebody clear this up for me. When u install it you have to allow it to make phone calls, but can i really be at the rate of one euro a day??

Is that a weekly or a monthly data? 200mb is quite small. Most networks let you buy an "unlimited" (usually 1gb per month) or weekly or daily unlimited.

I had this problem but a quick fiddle with settings, then apply an "unlimited" data (week, month, whatever) fixed things:

Look in data manager & uncheck anything unnecessary. Go in battery management & choose custom then decide when you want it not to sync. Look in accounts also, & then stop any widgets or apps that are working in the background (social media, weather etc).

Though I do find it annoying that the custom battery saver settings won't work if the thing is on charge! Isn't night time the most logical time to charge & NOT want to use data?

I have been using Handcent for quite a while with no problems. In your post the "When u install it you have to allow it to make phone calls" is wrong. You give the app the right to know when you are using the phone to make or receive calls. This is needed so that you can answer the call if you are in another application on the phone
