About a year ago I punched something and almost broke my hand ( stupid i know) It wasnt broken but it was pretty messed up. Well now, The meat inbetween the knuckles and that whole general area gets pretty swollen when I do things like writting for example and hurts really bad, It will also hurt it cold weather, Im assuming tendenitus and arthritus at this point, but I also have another problem that has nothing to do with that, my hand shakes and it shakes pretty bad sometimes... Im only 21 and its already this bad so I cant imagine whats gonna happen when Im older, If I go to the doctor will they want to do surgery? or what options do I have to help fix this before it gets worse?

You have 2 different problems. One is the swelling and the other is the shaking. The swelling may just be arthritis and tendinitis as you suspect and could probably be treated easily with a cortisone shot or 2. the shaking however is related to your brain and may take some testing to identify the problem. Most brain disorders that cause shaking are easily treated as well with medication.

So see your doctor and don't worry about surgery. Nothing sounds surgical but you NEED TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

well will the shot your talking about fix it completely or temporarily, because my main concern at this point is fixing it so I dont have a horridly crippled arthritic hand when im older

Yeah, it should help. Kids can get cortisone shots for tendinitis. The old wives tale of cortisone "causing" arthritis is not true.

But first you need to find out what it is and why you have a tremor.
