On August 4th I rescused 4 abandoned kittens that were only a day old.
I've been bottle feeding them every 2 hours and helping them use the restroom, they have a nest box with a heating pad on low and a blanket on top. I've kept very good care of these little guys.
Earlier today I had to take one to the vet. Yesterday he had been moving and earlier today he wouldn't move at all, he didn't eat, his breathing was shallow, he seemed to of stopped growing and he appeared to be dying. The suffering he was going through was really upsetting and I figured he had Fading Kitten Syndrome and took him for euthinasia. The vet told me that was in his best interest to end his suffering and the vet told me he definetly had FKS and earlier today I had to bury the little one.
Now one of my other kittens is acting really strange. She's not eating and much and stomach is slowly starting to get smaller and it's similar to the warning signs with my previous kitten so I'm wondering if one kitten in a litter has FKS, will they all?
The other two seem healthy but I'm really worried about this litter not making it. Please help.
