Hi all,
Is there anyone out there who has experienced a hamstring muscle weakness with lurabar stenosis? I don't really have leg pain, just am not able to lift my leg to clirab stairs, etc. without a lot of effort. My pain is in my lower back. I also have nurabness and paresthesia from waist to toes at times. That seems to be when I am fatigued. Usually just toes. I had 3 ESI's but they didn't help much. PT has helped give me some strength back. Just wondering what some others have experienced. My NS says that my lurabar is not an operable condition.
Thanks. (ps I also had cervical spinal compression, which required surgery 8 months ago)

Hi.

I too have problems with my hamstrings/legs.
I have had disc problems [not operable ]for many years , but for the last few years or so my legs have been getting worse.
My calfs and the back of my upper legs ache constantly, and I feel the need to constantly stretch my legs for relief.

Sorry.
I also meant to add that my legs feel very weak as well and standing for more than a few minutes is very uncomfortable.

Red, sorry to hear that you haven't had any relief. I am getting stronger by doing the physical therapy exercises, especially when I do them in the therapy pool (warm water) The muscles will atrophy when they don't get the necessary stimulation, and it seems when they aren't ennervated properly they shrink. Maybe you should see if you could have physical therapy to preserve your leg function. Thanks, Kay

I too have leg weakness when standing too long. My calfs cramp up as well..

I have bulging disc between L4-L5 with annular tear diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis. I am having surgery on Wednesday and am hopeful there will be good results!

Hi REMOVE/Minstrel

I find its worst when idle.
If I am mobile or go for a walk etc , the legs are not too bad.
REMOVE.
