My boyfriend bought two teddy bear hamsters,and at the beginning they were fine,playing and all that. All of a sudden one of them attacked the other one, so the poor injured one lost her eye lids and it is a big wound.I am scared that she won't be able to see through that eye any more. The wound looks pretty bad, and one day when she was trying to store her food,I guess she opened her mouth a lot, and the wound opened and the yellowish/white stuff came out (Sorry I don't know the word in English). I took her with me,just to keep them separate,but I want to do something to help her wound heal,and hopefully her eye will be able to function again as it did before.
Has anyone had this problem before and if anyone knows,could you please tell me how to help this poor little hurt thing?
P.S. She still eats and drinks,and is pretty active,but just the wound hurts me when I see it. I try to wipe off the stuff gently with Q-tip and a bit of water & tiny bit of sea salt, but she doesn't let me
