I've had my hamster, a blonde male I bought from petsmart, since a couple of weeks before christmas 2008. So he's only a few months old.
When we first bought him, he ran in his wheel like crazy, ate good, and drank water like he was supposed to. But now, he sleeps all the time (day and night), never runs on his wheel (we've even checked this when we're asleep, to see if it's just that he doesn't do it when we're around, and nothing), doesn't eat alot, and doesn't drink alot of water. I'm getting worried about him, and can't afford to take him to the vet.
Any advice? His bottom teeth are a little long, but his top teeth are fine, and we keep plenty of wooden chew sticks and chew treats available to him. He just doesn't seem to want to chew, either.
He just sleeps under his wheel, and nothing else.
