Halo Reach - Solo, Legendary on the level EXODUS. Any tips for me?

ok so i just beat that damn level on the corvette which was really starting to tick me off, then i go onto Exodus and i am stuck on the part where you have to defend that place and the brutes with the gravity hammers are everywhere. I have also heard that the end of this level is extremely hard. so any tips?? Much Appreciated
