I feel like a douche bag even making a thread about this movie because I haven't seen the first, only know the concept and maybe have seen one of the more recent ones but after viewing this movie i come to these conclusions:

1)rob zombies wife, sherri moon zombie or whatever....is fucking hot
2)kid Micheal myers is a perfect choice
3)rob zombie soundtracks are second only to tarantino (i'm bias)
4)this movie will kill (harhar) at the box office.
5) it was funny, sort of scary in that weird way, edge of the seat-ish, and never boring or typical....even when it tried to be.

also to clarify ahead of time, watched the movie (2007) tonight.

haha but faghats on imdb really think this movie is going to flop because of the "early unfinished release"

i'll probably end up going to the theater to see this too.

rented the original last night and as far as quality goes, dealing with followability, story, character development, the new one BLOWS the original away.

it's so much more than a slasher.

I watched it tonight as well, the ending sucked ass so I hope the 'finnished movie' has a better ending. All in all way better than the original though, Zombie has a skill with the film thing..

hit a midnight screening last night. This movie is such a piece of shit. Everything that I love about Halloween isn't present here. Halloween was all about set-up and payoff. Most of all anticipation and leaving you wondering "where the hell is that guy, I know he's in the house somewhere" Not so much in this one. He's out in the open in every single scene. This is about bodies and gore where the original was about tension and scares.

I saw this movie last night on opening night at midnight. I thought this movie was perfect. As stated above, the music was amazing, and all the crew from House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects is here. Great movie to go see, alot more blood and alot more tits.

I watched the original the other night and thought it was spotty and lackluster. It was hard to follow and seemed very typical....although i suppose it was one of the first real slasher movies.

just my opinion.

I have the workprint. I watched it. Def. better than people said it was. I think the beginning, when they're dealing with Michael as a kid added SO much more. I mean, most shit doesn't scare me, because it's unreal. But a psycho like this, with real problems, that shit scares me.

the parts with him as a kid were really good and it was pretty creepy

once he grew up and got out of the psych place he wasnt scary at all. you saw him just standing around way too much and there was almost no suprise or shock

i think it can only be scary if you dont know where the killer is or what to expect. it showed what michael was going to do before he did it just about every time
