Do you have a link to the source that did this news come from,i.e movie/horror website,movie magazine etc.

So much for Weinstein's quote that Rob Zombie's Halloween was 'most probably' the final Halloween movie ever.A FINAL Halloween movie,yeah right.
 
:eek: Ooh! I haven't seen the first one so I can't particularly comment ... but I hope they don't ruin it :( - Halloween 2 is an absolute horror classic (along with Halloween.)

Not sure why they're remaking them all...?!
 
But that's where Zombie went catastrophically wrong.

If he wanted to up the supernatural element fine but he also wanted to humanise Myers with the back story.

You can't have it both ways which is why the film is such a mess.

Malcolm McDowell as Loomis looks completedly nonplussed throughout & I don't blame him.
 
Myers was ruined in the remake, Zombie totally missed the point about what made Myers such a good character. Any mystery behind the character was destroyed by pointless backstory and on a physical side he was turned into a giant lumbering oath.

I'm a big fan of Zombie's other movies but this one is best off forgotten.
 
I think the trouble with Zombie is that he's more atuned to hillbilly horror.

He could have done a kickass Texas Chainsaw Massacre but was totally wrong for Halloween which is set in the suburbs.
 
100% agree.

He does hillbillys as well as anybody but that simply doesn't fit in with a Halloween movie in my opinion. I'm not a remake hater I just think his Halloween pretty much fails on all levels.
 
It's a horrendous version of Halloween, indeed. Agree it would have been interesting to see him do the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake instead of the people who made it.
