I'm aware that no one reading this can diagnose me, but opinions have never hurt all that much.
Basically, almost a year ago, my brother hit me quite hard in my left elbow with an airsoft gun (not shot, just sort of bashed my arm with the butt end of it). I went to the ER the same day that it happened, had x-rays done, etc., but they said I didn't even have the smallest of a fracture, a chip, nothing.
So, I dealt with it; the pain continued for a couple weeks, but afterward I just got sort of used to it, and I stopped paying attention to it.
This last Thursday (Oct. 1), I banged my same elbow off of a wall, hard (we're moving into a new house, and I was moving my dresser, and I somehow managed to hit it off the wall). Almost immediately the pain I felt when my brother first hit me with his gun returned, and in the exact same place (it's hard to describe exactly where, but it's between two bones in my elbow/forearm). Trying not to complain about the pain, I wrapped my elbow in an ace bandage and went to school on Friday.
Well, with my luck, the bandage began to unravel and I had to re-wrap it during lunch, out on the concourse in the freezing cold. A friend of mine, who was going to the Nurse right after lunch, made me go with him and sign myself in for what turned into an hour and a half long process (not that I'm complaining - I got to get out of French AND Bio!). The Nurse had me hold my elbows up and next to each other, and she said something didn't feel right in my left elbow (the one I injured), but there was nothing that she could do, so she re-wrapped it and sent me back to class.
That same Friday (Oct. 2), I had more x-rays done, and again, nothing. Since then I've been babying my elbow (it's painful just to bend it a little) and my Mom (a Nurse) suggested that I wear the ace bandage until the pain subsides.
Now, however, whenever I do manage to bend my elbow, it makes a weird clicking noise and a wave of pain runs right down my arm. Also, if I bend it or move it just the right way, my fingers start to feel numb and tingly.
Any ideas, or is my elbow just stupid?
Sorry this was so long, too, haha. I have a tendency to include TONS of useless information.
& thanks in advance. :]
