I'm wanting to do something new with my hair, but I can't decide between a couple ideas.
First idea, go darker, like a chocolate brown. I've done this before so it's a safe option I guess, cause I did like it and it looked pretty good. I have blue eyes so brown hair really brought them out.
The second idea is to go lighter. Now, I wouldn't dye my hair completely blonde, but I'd get like light blonde highlights all through it to make it lighter. I used to be blonde when I was a kid, and I guess the whole blue eyes and fair skin looks pretty good with blonde hair? My mum wants me to go lighter
Anyway, the third idea is a little dfferent, and that is a funkier colour, like purple or blue or pink. BUT I wouldnt dye my whole hair! just streaks or tips or something? I think that'd be pretty cool just for a bit of a change!
but I have some worries, like, will the colour set properly in my hair? I have like, dark blonde/light brown hair. Would purple turn into something else or would it actually stay purple? And if I told a hairdresser I wanted purple streaks, would I need to bring a photo of what I want? Cause I dont want purple lines down my head, just kinda the odd streak here and there, kinda underneath and... yeah i dunno how to explain it, i can just picture it in my head. if anyone has any good pictures of purple/blue/pink streaks/tips, please send me the link
or maybe blonde highlights and purple tips?

my hair is very long, very thick, and a dark blonde-ish colour. here's a cropping of a recent picture of me http://img232.imageshack.us/i/sample1d.jpg/ where you can see the colour of my hair. the lighting may have changed it a bit, i dunno. oh and if i were to get a bright colour, id be leaning towards purple.
