An elderly relative had pneumonia (and this was partially the cause of their subsequent death) and I - being very emotionally attached, found myself very, very near to them often during that difficult final phase of their life). I am finding that, eg, after walking, I've been wheezing a little, have a sore throat, caugh, cold, not feeling great. Not being medically knowledgeable, I suppose I might have reason to worry about any infection I may have 'acquired'. The leaflet said it was a very small percentage of visitors who might contact such infection. So, to those with some medical knowledge or better still, properly qualified people, what are the chances of my having contacted something drastic from this episode whereby I was in the hospital alot of the time, trying to offer my support to a loved one? From hopefully a 'worried well' idiot (me)..
