Had an awkward movie date with him. what should i do now?

He's a year younger and we liked each other for a long time..ever since we met. BUT WE HAD NEVER HUNGOUT so that movie date night was actually the very first time we chilled together. He finally asked me out after 4 years of liking me..so yes..he's very shy! The date was really awkward and he seemed nervous. he tried making an effort by asking me a lot of questions. He didn't make any moves that night but he kept looking at my hand during the movie. When a scary part came, i leaned on his shoulder and he started whispering to me more. Sometimes when i caught him looking at me during the movie, we would smile at each other. in the end, he DIDN'T want to walk me home b/c his house was close to the theater!! at some parts during the date i thought he was being a jerk. like when i said i wanted to treat him bk since he paid for the tickets, he said i should treat him to the most expensive steak! he doesn't have much experience with girls and i'm thinkin he was just nervous n wanted to make a joke but it came off the wrong way. iunno... we haven't talked ever since that night. it's sad b/c he's super sweet to me online. i wanna give him a 2nd chance since i liked him for so long. i still have some hope. should i? n what should i do before i bump into him at school or should i just wait till i c him at school first?btw he's 18 and i'm 19. oh and he DID walk me home at the end.
