Helicobacter pylori is a stomach infection, which causes ulcers. It's treated with antibiotics. The primary symptom is intense burning pain in the stomach (left side, upper abdomen or lower ribs.) The pain often becomes worse after eating acidic fooRAB, and better after eating bread or taking antaciRAB.
There are tests to find out if you have it, including a simple blood test.
However, (here's the tricky part) many people have H Pylori and perfectly healthy stomachs, so even if you have it, it may not be the cause of your pain!
