Hello..
I have been suffering for years now.. symptoms are belching a lot, burning feeling in stomach, stomach feeling bloated and painful, dizziness.. Been to doctor a few times about this, and he told me last week that I have H.pylori.
I guess before he never actually tested for it and that's why he didn't know what it is. So I took 7 days of medication, 4 pills in the morning and 4 pills at night which were.. 30mg Prevacid.. 500mg Biaxin Bid and 500mg Amoxicillin.. times that by 2.. While I was on that, I did feel better. The burning wasn't there and my stomach didn't hurt as much. But now I'm feeling those same symptoms again, now that the 7 days are over. Since the pain is back, does that mean I need to take more medication because the bacteria isn't gone yet?:(:(:(:(
 
I had h -pylori 4 yrs ago & now I have it again. Dr. is having me take 2000 amoxicillin daily for 10 days & also a pill to keep the acis down in my stomach.
This is a painful infection!!!!! First time I had it I was in tears at times. THis time I knew immediately what I had!

My husband recently tested positive for this. He was expecting immediate relief after taking all the antibiotics and other meds. The doctor told him that it can take 3-4 months after taking the antibiotics to start feeling better. He is also supposed to continue taking Nexium and Maalox. He told him if he was not better after 3 months to come back.
