H@H -- Beating the Price increase?

wait, if you are on a family plan the promo price is 19.99$ and te normal price for a family plan is 29.99$, so if you are on a single line plan, i can add it for you.if you want just pm me you number and I'll add it on your account.

You can add the price plan to lock it in, but it may be longer than a month to get the new blackberrys out... that will be UMA enabled, I talked to a RIM rep, and he was extremely unsure when one might fall. So just be careful you dont wanna pay for it for 6 months and not have the UMA yet.

Can someone confirm the following for me?

I read in another forum that H@H is *not* required for UMA-enabled phones in order to use a wi-fi connection. Rather, if you are not enrolled in the H@H plan, that minutes would come out of your regular plan. Is this true? That would be IDEAL for me, as I rarely go over my plan limit; I just want UMA service to improve my reception at home.

That is the same ? that I have. If I don't sign up for H@H and use my BB on my wi-fi net @ home will I use minutes or not? I don't go over my minutes EVER but I was thinking of getting a H@H enabled phone for my kid. Thanks -M

you would have to use the router for the better reception, but you don't have o use the router for the unlimited calling. it recommended to use t-mobile's router for the simple fact that t-mobile won't troubleshoot a router that isn't theirs, plus the routers that t-mobile pffer are set up to give the proper bandwith for voice quality and clairty. it saves on battery life, and makes it aa little easier to connect to the network without any problems

Playing catch up from the weekend....

@jkai--rumor has it that the 8320 Curve due out late September will be UMA enabled...have you heard not?

@spellchekur - that is correct - the plan is only needed if you want unlimited @home minutes for $9.99 a month.

@kilted -- Yes, if you have a h@h phone with out the plan you can use it on any open wifi network and it will use regular minutes.
