17 yr old daughter signed 12 month contract to join Golds Gym in June 2010 (17 year old friend did also). An older guy she had recently met invited her to gym. He signed her up knowing she was only 17 years old. (Also signed up 17 yr old friend)The contract shows birthdate and the fact she is not 18. She provided her debit card for automatic withdrawals of dues from our joint banking account. I discovered in early October of the fees being drawn from bank acct. After researching I discovered that fees had been withdrawn everymonth. Contacted bank and closed debit card. Contacted Golds Gym and they cancelled gym membership with no type of explanation. Mgr suggested that Gym should be compensated for her visits. I ask for her attendance schedule : 9 visits in June and 9 in July. I requested refund and new gym mgr referred me to corp office. His lack of information made me believe that he knows that the corp ofc is not willing to give a refund. I will contact corp ofc tomorrow. Meantime I have the bank fraud dept investigating this issue. What is the best approach to the Corp Ofc?
