Guys: why would you stop talking to a girl you really like out of the blue?

my girl friend is going through this. this guy sent her a text saying he doesn't want her anymore and completely ignored her? my girl friend told me everything went fine between them a couple days ago. what gives? i'm sorry for posting this in R&S, no one answered my Q in singles&dating.
 
Tired of waiting, simply because he found out something about her that he doesn't like . so he changed his mind about her.
heard something bad about her like shes a slut or something.
there is no such thing as out of the blue, has to be a reason . may be some hotter girl asked him out and he would rather be with this other chick.
may be he wants a relationship that involves sex and this girl is not the type or she is too young.

may reasons theres no such thing as out of the blue.
