There's a guy I've known for 3 years. He just started working for my family last summer at the family business, and I work a lot, so we end up spending a lot of time together. He's never had a gf or been kissed. And sometimes, I'm CONVINCED he likes me and other times I'M SURE he DOESN'T.
Today, my mother made me wear this sweater dress thing (I'm 19, yet she told me i HAD to because "grandma bought it") It's really short, and hits just below my butt, so I wore black leggings under it. Makes me self conscious. Tonight, I stepped in front of the fireplace, and the guy I know said, "WHAT are you doing?"
I turned to him, sarcastic, "I'm warming my butt. Do you have a problem with that?"
He got quiet for a second, “No…you have a nice butt.” He stopped and I dismissed it as him trying to be funny. But then he pushed it, “Very firm, round.”
I turned to him, laughing, “Okay. Don’t cross the line. No more.” Then he went off about how his friend’s mom got workout advice (NOTE: he works out. CONSTANTLY. He’s ripped.) from him about how to tone her butt to be “firm and round.” I was laughing so hard I forgot how embarrassed I was (HE HAS COMMENTED ON MY BUTT BEFORE. MULTIPLE TIMES. BUT NOT LIKE THIS!).
Later he asked, “So, Alice, is your whole family this WEIRD…OR JUST you?” GUYS! WITH THE BUTT AND THE WEIRD COMMENTS, WAS HE TRYING TO DISRESPECT ME or be funny? Was he somehow serious about the butt comment and trying to cover it up? We’re 19.
