So my boyfriend of over two years suddenly broke up with me. I had no warning, got no explanation, he just completely shut me out of his life. We were best friends and everything between us was great. Not once did he ever act as unhappy as he said he was when he broke up with me. He convinced me I was going to marry him, and every night, even up until the day he broke up with me he would tell me he loved me and call me his wife.
I found out a couple of weeks later he was already in a loving relationship with another woman. From what I hear he has seemingly completely forgotten me and is telling her the same things he told me just a few weeks earlier. I recently saw a picture of the two of them together and he is still wearing a piece of jewelry I gave him on one of our anniversaries.
I guess my question is how easy is it to completely forget someone you were so close to? I was his best friend, sex was great, we never fought, I wasn't clingy (I actually encouraged him to go out and hang out with his friends without me because i trusted him so much), and I supported absolutely everything he did. How can he move on so quickly? He was everything to me, and he broke me heart. And why is he still wearing the necklace? It was supposed to mean something when I gave it to him.
