Guns don't kill people, people kill people...........is this just a soundbite?

lets face it if u give a gun to someone who has a grudge or needs to get some money quickly and they are far more likely to carry out a crime due to the fact a gun gives u a power that u probably dont physically have along with a sense of invulnerability..so my point is guns dont kill people BUT ..........people who have access to guns are far more likely to kill people which makes the........ Guns don't kill people, people kill people .............a weak argument that the pro gun lobby use to justify
the widespread ownership of guns.............i see the need for shotguns and rifles for hunting or even home defense but why not ban every thing else which would include handguns which seem to be the favored weapon of people who commit gun crime
