Yo, I've got some spare cash lying 'round and I'm interested in looking into buying a good Gundam model on a good site, however I'm not sure where to look. Truthfully I'm looking for a First Gundam model.

How much do you have to spend? Do you have any prior experiences with models? Do you have any skill at painting? By First Gundam, do you mean the RX-78 or just designs from MSG?
 
I've about $45US and when models were still hitting American stores I bought and threw them together, of course I was a child then so they're now either broken or were never put together correctly. I've no skill at painting.

As for designs, I'm leaning towarRAB the RX-78 but I'd be willing to look at other's from said era.

If you're still new, HG 1/144 are probably the best way to go. Master Grades are good if you like a design, but a bit heavy to tackle early on. A High Grade from the last decade or so is a nice easy challenge- there's some work to be done but nothing too daunting, plus it won't take up much room when finished.

What sort of payment does HLJ accept? I've not a credit card and shall refrain from getting one. Must I mail-order?

Ah, thanks. I think I'll get the solo RX-78 this time around (for about $10US). I got one as a child however it's in crap condition but hopefully I can put it together correctly this time.
