I posted a question earlier about gun permits in NJ but i was wondering if i went to another state and purchased a gun like Pennsylvania, And brought it back to New jersey i know i would need to go back to PA to use the gun range, But....... what happens if someone broke into my house and came after my wife and i used the gun could i get in trouble because its not registered in jersey? And another question is how you can carry a shotgun and rifle but not a handgun? What does carrying a gun allow you to do? Just taking it in the car with your or actually carrying it? Sorry if this seems like alot of answers just all states have so many different laws and the in between laws are throwing me off
