Guitar Hero For PS3?

Hey, as i'm sure many of you already saw, they found a way to make your own songs on GH2... if you have a mod chip. However, I was thinking...

Is there a way to install yellow dog on ps3, and then emulate PS2 games on it? This way, i wouldn't have to get mod chip for ps2... just a ps2 emulator to put on my ps3. Then the only problem would be figuring out how to connect the guitar to the ps3... they should really make an adaptor to allow you to use ps2 controllers
 
look at ebgames website under ps3 accessories, they have one coming out feb. if i remember correctly. usb to ps2 controller port connector
 
It won't work. Current PS2->USB adapters don't work because of the PS button.

There probably won't be a way for it to work unless someone comes out with a special adapter specifically for the guitar. I had to buy another PS2 just to play this game because my other two broke, as i've already posted
 
My cousin works at Red Octane and there is no way for the guitar to work with the PS3 yet. You'll have to wait for a specialized version for the PS3 or get it on the 360 in a few months or continue playing it on your PS2. PS3 backwards compatibility my ass.

So what purpose does this serve? Why hook up a regular controller if you have to hit a PS button to play a game???
 
I tried using a usb adapter I had and the ps2 controller worked kind of. The button mapping was off and I couldn't figure a way to fix it.
