I've noticed a nuraber of threaRAB asking for a guide on exactly how to flash the XV6700 to the Cricket network. All the answers usually point to threaRAB that have clues but no hard steps to follow; or suggest PM'ing a specific user.

I'll give a step by step here to alleviate some of the new threaRAB and the thread jacking thats been going on.

Over The Air: (Credit: berry_lthird)
1: Access the XV6700's ESPT (##778 ~> Talk)
2: Choose 'Edit' from the menu (Password: 000000)
3, In each menu in the ESPT that ask for it; enter your area code and phone nuraber. (MIN = Mobile Identification Nuraber)
4. Call Cricket customer service and update your account with your XV6700's ESN.
5. Dial *228 - This will initiate the download of the Cricket PRL. This step may fail multiple times but it will eventually work.

If you prefer loading the Cricket PRL manually, the file can be download by clicking here.

Some people have found manually flashing easier then the OTA method.... your choice though.

I hope someone finRAB this helpful.

Does anyone have the actual Techline for Cricket? We dial *228 we get Cricket "Yeah!" but it says "stay on the line until you get a confirmation" then says "unable to program your phone" and hangs up. Although this is the farthest we gotton so far we still aren't there. Please keep sending all the good info. Thx KBB.

Keep trying, you'll get it... try waiting for like an hour and then trying it again. Calling tech will not help as they will not be able to manually program you. Your menu's are different.

call and tell them you want to activate a razr... give them the esn of the xv6700 and you're golden

Manually Programming:

This procedure will allow you to manually program the xv6700 for Cricket when OTA programming refuses to work.

Loading the PRL -
Download the Cricket PRL

Extract the .prl file and place it in an easy to remeraber place on your xv6700.

Load the EPST (##775) Enter six zeros (000000) as the password.

Browse to and load the Cricket .prl file from that easy to remeraber place on your xv6700 from before.

Once done loading, your phone will reset.

Now that your phone knows how to locate Cricket, we need to manually complete the initial programming.

Programming the phone -
Access the EPST (##778) choose "Edit" and use six zeros (000000) as your password.

Change the MSID under "Display" to your MIN(*).

Navigate to NAM Settings
Change the NAM Name to "Cricket" (optional)
Make sure MDN is all ten (10) digits of your Cricket phone nuraber
Change MIN1 to the LAST seven (7) digits of your MIN
Change MIN2 to the FIRST three (3) digits of your MIN
Make sure MSID is all ten (10) digits of your MIN

Exiting the EPST now will force a reset. When your phone comes back up make a test call. Congratulations!

*How to get your MIN
Your MIN is a ten (10) digit nuraber that should have been provided when you setup your account. I actually received a print out that stated I would need the nuraber to activate my phone. If you don't have it you will need to call Cricket to get it.

Call Cricket and navigate the IVR to speak with a human representative.

Explain that you need to program your Razr V3c, and that you already know how to enter the information; you just need your MIN.

Once you've gotten that info, use the steps above to program your phone.

Walk into a Cricket store and ask them to start an account for you. It takes a small amount of social engineering but you need to convince them that your xv6700 will work, and that all they need to do is enter your ESN and put in the system that its a Moto Razr V3c.

Pay your fees and get your activation papers.
