guide not working

Hello

Anyone else haveing this problem.

If i press guide all channels come up no infor and it trys to download guide but stops and sends it back to channel it was on.

I can switch channels when i am on one by useing the up down key. If i press
guide all channels come up no infor and it trys to download guide but stops and sends it back to channel it was on.

I did a hard reset no differance. I unplugged it no differance. It is a 6100 model
Any suggestions would be great

This problem is verey common, usuallu caused by leaving your receivers always on...

To avoid the issue always POWER OFF your receiver when you go to bed (just like you power off the TV)

To solve the issue simply press the power button for about 30 seconds (until it goes off) then relase it. Don't touch anything, the receiver will power on by itself (it may take a few seconds or a minute or 2)

If that doesn't work either call an agent and have him do a HIT or go on the bell.ca and resync your programming
 
The same thing happened to me on my 6100 and I had to do a check switch then all was good again.
 
Also try removing the Smart Card, wait until you see the System Info Screen, then re-insert the Smart Card, it will force a Reboot and a download of the Guide.
 
I would also suggest turning the power off via the remote control every night. I had a 6100 and for some reason, if you did not do this, the guide would not update and I would have to go through exactly what is happening to you.
