Ok, I know this may sound crazy, but I am buying a GSXR 1000 and it will be my first bike. I am aware of the power and danger of any bike, especially this one. I am in my mid 30's and very responsible and to be honest, I am scared of any bike but this one a bit more. I plan on buying a throwdown something just to get my bearings on riding. I came across thie bike at such a great price I had to get it. Any tips? Comments? Kind Criticism? Please don't be rude.
I do plan on taking the MSC and I will start on a smaller bike to get the feel. I do not plan on doing 180mph EVER! As I stated, I got this bike at great price. I'm not one for speed, I was over that 5 years ago when I sold my 10 second steet car. I do know they aren't the same, but I value my health, and probably won't even get on a major freeway with this bike, only because of other idiots that dont watch out for riders. I'm sure the bike will sit for 6 months or so, and then when I do take it out I will have stunt cage on it, just to protect my investment if I dropped it.... I don't want to buy plastics for it.
