I've been gone for the last 2 weeks because the NIC in my computer got all fucked up and I was too cheap to go buy one for $13 so i waited for 2 weeks till my friend gave me some crappy $2 one he got off the internet. It just pisses me off

What are you talkin about Asus is one of the best MB makers out there...I myself have a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe which is aswsome except for the fact I was overclocking the other day at 4 in the morning and wasn't paying attention and shorted something out on the board so now my sound if fucked to hell, but yeah other than that Asus motherboards rock

Is that P4 a Wilamette core or a Northwood core? If it's a Wilamette, I feel verry sorry for you.

I'm getting a faster CPU soon so I can play my games, though.

If you do want to upgrade, I suggest upgrading both your CPU and video card. Everything else you can live with. Either do both, or none, because if you just do one without the other, your system will suck ass (I learned this the hard way).

I think you should go AMD...They are faster and cheaper, and overclock much better. The new P4's are nice, but if you REALLY want power, fuck that single CPU shit, get a dual Opteron, Athlon MP, or Xeon setup. The HyperThreading technology is a load of bullshit, it still sucks compared to a dual processor setup. Hell, even a 3,2GHz Prescott would lose to the fastest dual Athlon MP system...dual CPU's are the way to go...if you can afford them. Tom's Hardware had an article on dual CPU Xeons, you should check that out.

im getting a prescott because its good for overclocking...and i have a exos by coolance so i won't have any cooling problems, and i don't like amd and if i could afford it i would go with dule zeon...
