So for the past four years I've had a pretty good size backyard garden. I've planted a lot of Tomatoes, zucchini's, eggplant, cucumbers and peppers in the garden. So far the only think that has really actually grown are the Tomato plants. The cukes and zucchini always seem to just die off even though I water them constantly and irate the soil. My peppers don't really get that huge and neither do my eggplant but for some reason my Tomatoes grow very well...Any tips on what I'm doing wrong? What should and Should I not be growing in New York?

Thanks,
Mark

you are living too far north
for the other crops that you mention to do very well,
they all like extreme heat to flower and mature fruit.
you could get row cover to put over the garden
and it would lengthen the growing season ,
check into a high hoop row cover
or a cold frame large enough to house your garden-
--some are surprisingly cheap.
