Grouper Fishing tactics?

I am pretty good at deep sea fishing, I catch something about every drop. I am actually amazing at Red Snapper. But I never can quite get a good trophy grouper. Every time I catch one its too small or I don't catch one at all. I like to vertical jig for them, but I want to know some new tactics to doing it. Thanks
