ground zero mosque debate and this surge of Obama criticism?

Sometimes I feel that in our country there is a mass of ignorant people unmatched by any developing country. I say this because as you will see, some will criticism arguments that I make with not points that are logical, factual, or unbiased. Instead they will use insults and make up crap; maybe repeat something they heard on fox news and/or msnbc.

So, what I'm trying to convey here is if a mosque were to be built at ground zero ( although it it actuall blocks away) wouldn't this just make us more of a great country!? It would enforce American power and values through out this flaky world with no principles. It would say; we are free, you cannot scare us! But instead we are having this...

A lot are saying they feel it is an insult for the mosque to be constructed at this location because the attacks were done in the name of Islam. Question? Should i not converse with christian whites or Catholics anymore because of what was done out of the name of Christianity? People carefully and so ignorantly ignore the reality that it was done by radical Islamic terrorist. Meaning not with the mainstream lawless outlaws.

So, why does it seem like people are scared right now, bigotry is not going unchecked and sorry but people like Sarah Palin are still relevant?

Am i missing anything here?
