As many know, there are basically 4 central areas that just about all animated shows pull their voice talent from: California, New York, Vancouver, and Texas. In this day in age, there have been a few cross-productions, such as NY/CA in The Third and Phoenix. We have also had actors from one region doing occasional work in another, or moving from one to another. However, these instances are few and far between, and on the whole, the 4 regions, like the very directions of the Earth itself, have remained separate.
Imagine, however, a day when an actor's only limitation is his/her level of skill, not where they live. Imagine if we no longer have to worry about an actor being replaced just because they have to move. And now imagine which actors you'd want working side by side. For this exercise, I have chosen the 4 actors who I believe have best represented their home area. Not only are they excellent actors in their own right, they all made their own notable marks in the hearts of internet forum goers everywhere.
And so, imagine if you will a most epic show starring...
Dan Green, the king of both card games and over-the-top theatrics, and the inspiration for abridged series everywhere!
Scott McNeil, the trend setter of both Gundam and Beast Wars, able to epically portray both hot-blooded action and quiet honor!
Steve Blum, the voice of Toonami, the block that helped to launch anime and make it what it is today!
Chris Sabat, who along with FUNimation, rose from hurable beginnings to become one of the most notable voice actors around, and is one of the few people who can voice multiple characters using almost the exact same voice and STILL make it good!
I've seen these guys, among others, each discussed quite a bit on other forums, but this "most epic" list is still my opinion. So, think you can do better? Maybe have 4 female VAs to nominate? Then let the epic casting begin!
Just remeraber: This thread isn't about who's most epic in and of themselves. Rather, it's about the epicness generated by the thought of actors who would normally not work together based on region working together. Crispin Freeman and Kyle Hebert are all well and good, but they've done plenty of work in more than one region, so it's a little less interesting to see them paired up with other, more home-bound VAs.
Try and make good, solid 4-player lists with one VA from each region for maximum epicacity!
