Ok it is true just for clarification. When you sign up for a 4.99 400 text messages plan. You get 400 SMS and 400 MMS. If you check online and look at your usage it says text and shows how many you used and how many you have left and then it shows you how many MMS. I cant look up my usage now cause its generating a bill for me, but if anyone would like proof let me know and ill post a screen shot!

Sure it track them seperat because that is how the billing system was setup when it originated. They aren't going to spend money and time removing that from the bill. Besides, detailed billing as a standard is going away for t-MOBILE (ASK ME IF YOU WANT DETAILS ON THAT).. You can enter #674# (#msg#) in the phone screen and "call" it. That will give you the number of txts used by the server and how many are left. That comes right from the server so it doesn't lie. Try checking it.. Waiting a while for it to catch up ( its usually a few hours off) and sending a few txtx then checking it again. It will update.
*** if you have a txt plan less than unlim, ie; 400 or 1000 and you are able to go over the limit with sms+mms numbers combined, send me your info and ill confirm its true.. Untill then.. Its 400 or 1000 messages of ANY kind. That's it. In/out sms/mms. 400 or 1000 limit unless proven otherwise***

I was told the same thing when my son went over his 400 sms, but he had 397 mms left, but hey were charging for his over use of the ones.
Here I was able to see my account details.

The trick here is that tmobile knows the difference.IF you try and compose an MMS message without attaching anything , and its just text. It counts as a text message. If you have a shared family plan choose our Unlimited Domestic Messages for Families Bundle which gives everyone on your plan unlimited domestic messages of any type!
As above, all three message bundles are a combination of messages. 400 total or 1000 total. Of course, the unlimited doesn't really matter.
