1. What symbol is being used in this line: "So we drove toward death through the cooling twilight" ? (Is it the Valley of Ashes?)

3. What happened as Gatsby waited outside of Daisy's house? Why was that significant? (I know that nothing happened while Gatsby was standing outside, to see if Tom would hurt Daisy, but I don't know why this is significant.)

5. Compare and contrast Jordan and Daisy

7. Why does Gatsby take Nick to meet w/ Wolfsheim? (Is it b/c Gatsby wants to introduce Nick to his business, so Nick can earn more money? but i don't necessarily think it's tat b/c when wolfsheim asks nick if he wants to be in the business, Gatsby says Nick is not the right person-that it is some other guy...)
8. Who was at Gatsby's funeral? What is the significance of this? What major themes/ideas of the 1920's does this connect to? (I know Nick, Jay's father, Owl Eyes, and the priest were at Gatsby's funeral)

9. “Drifting on forever seeking, a little wistfully, for the dramatic turbulence of some irrecoverable football game.” Who said this and what is the significance of this quote?

10. “Sometimes she and Miss Baker talked at once, unobtrusively and with a bantering inconsequence that was never quite chatter, that was as cool as their white dresses and their impersonal eyes in the absence of all desire.” What are the major themes addressed in this quote?

11. Explain how this quote represents romantic mentalities: “I had one of those renewals of complete faith in him that I’ve experience before. “
