great dane not walking after neuter?

How long since the operation? Might still be under slightly. Bit drowsy.

Otherwise, if it's been a while since the actual operation I would ring the vet and ask.

depends on how long ago the operation was. did he recover ok or was he slow to wake and respond. after surgery they wont want to do much because they are sore still out of it and prob there tummy is a bit sick from the medications. id call the vet if your really worried though more info is needed

How long ago was the surgery?
Sometimes sensitive dogs and that describes danes pretty well have a hard time with discomfort and pain. Discuss his behavior with your vet and make sure he does not have temperature and that the surgical site is not infected and swollen.
The vet may want to do IV fluids or he may ask you to coax the dog to drink and to walk. You can use a squirt bottle and try to dribble some liquid in his mouth and see if he will take water that way. Dehydration after surgery will make him feel weak and unstable. Help the dog stand and try to coax him to take a few steps. Try something good like a piece of meat or his favorite treat and try to coax him to eat. Open his mouth and put it on his tongue. Sometimes you can use a dab of peanut butter or molasses and just put it on his tongue to see if he will swallow. But your first call should be to a vet's office and discuss his behavior with them.
