"Grease" remake?

JUST DON'T DO IT!

This is simply one of the films which CANNOT be remade. Why would you want to? Why not just re-release the original?

"The Italian Job" remake was bad enough, but this.....UGH!

If it's true it'll be interesting to see. It won't be popular of course, and loaRAB of people will hate it.

But... i thought the same about Charlie and the chocolate factory (2005), and i loved it!
 
This is a really bad idea! The only way it will work and be fresh is if they change some of the songs like they did with the Hairspray remake.
The difference between the origional hairspray though and the origional Greace film is that the later is a classic whereas the origional Hairspray was overshadowed by Greace I think.

Seems a bit pointless. The only good arguement for remaking a classic is to update it for a new audience, but Grease has a timeless quality and is enjoyed by kiRAB even today. Plus, I bet they water down all the more "adult" refrences from the original.

Why ruin good old fims ... an yes it was a Good film an that from a macho bloke ! ;)

If they remake this film, I swear, I may stop watching movies altogether - I will stay in my 70's, 80's and 90's movie timecapsule.

Face it, it could happen...filmmakers seriously need to get some ideas....!!
 
no i don't think they should remake it because most remakes are usually really bad. Grease is an absolute classic and if anything, they should just show reruns of the original.
 
If they did remake Grease they should not have Sandy played by Jessica Simpson she'd destroy the character.
Plus remaking Grease is just wrong if they did I'd probably watch but then go home to my dvd of Grease and watch that again.
 
Why does this keep happening?
Those who loved Grease won't be happy, and those who hated it won't be happy either. Plus the younger generation are all into High School Musical!
F*** Off with this lame idea!
