Gravity leaks create mirror images of massive objects?

If I understand it at all, string theory says that gravity can "leak" into other dimensions, thus explaining why it appears as such a weak force. Doesn't this mean that in the case of, for example, the earth, which is a local concentration of mass and therefore gravity, there would have to be a corresponding concentration of gravity that has "leaked" to the "other side"? In other words, the earth (and every other massive object) has to have a massive "mirror image" in the other dimension(s)? Wouldn't this explain the "missing mass" of the universe?
