I am trying to find a pixel by pixel image editor for palm os. I have found Icon and Font editors that do this, but I want to find one that perhaps will let me draw pixart art at a 320 x 320 (color of course) or even a 160 x 160 would be nice. I have MPaint and I can zoom in with it, but the interface is a little cumbersome to use for pixel art. It is designed for sketching freehand. I want a program that has a "zoomed" grid on one side of the screen and an actual sized preview of the image on the other side. Attached is a sample of what I am talking about.

Thanks,

I only found out 3 days ago I could us MS Paint, 16x16 SET TO PIXELS, 16 bit color, with 800% zoom (as you mention) to do icons and import them to IconManager as bitmaps. Here's the link I learned it from - some valuable tips here:

Beyond that I've been looking for a desktop icon editor and have had no luck.

"Image Forge" is a freeware "beefed up MS Paint," but it seems more trouble than it's worth and while I did do an icon successfully and transfer it to IconManager 1.6 (also freeware now) it didn't seem any easier than just making one on the Palm. A desktop icon editor/creator would be great - just can't find one.
