Is there any Fantasy Anime out there for one to recommend to me. You know D&D esque enviroments. Daring quests yada yada.

(Fantasys already into: Id, Rune Soldier, Beserk, Beet.)

When I've got a link to a table top publishing company as part of my sig, I'd hope I know what D&D means :P

Since the campaign was run in '86, it was most likely using D&D 3rd Revision (1983

Not a whole lot like that.

The Slayers / Next / Try / Revolution/ Evolution-R
Magic Knight Rayearth
Shamanic Princess

Also see:

Twelve Kingdoms
InuYasha
The Vision of Escaflowne

Getting still farther away:

Fushigi YuGi
Fate/Stay Night
Shakugan no Shana

Edit:
W.I.T.C.H. (Not Anime), Dragon Hunters (Not Anime / dvd incomplete),Scrapped Princess, and MAR, I suppose.

Um cut back on the Japanese fantasy part please (not to american and not to japanese I always say.) And is there any dubs of fantasy anime available.

All of those were dubbed. And Only InuYasha, Shana and to a limited extent Fate/stay night are Japan centered. Also I edited my post. Lastly, watch them anyway. They are good shows.

I'm also a huge fan of the fantasy setting, it's probably my favorite genre. You might try Scrapped Princess, even though I couldn't get into it much. Slayers was also too comedic/goofy/silly for me, but if you're into Rune Soldier, then you shouldn't have too much of a problem with it, I'd say. (Euro)fantasy shows seem to be quite rare. I also second W.I.T.C.H. as it's my favorite fantasy show. Too bad there's not more shows like Neverwinter Nights, or other fantasy video games out there.

Just a few heaRAB up before I get into everything

-I can be very picky (I am becoming a bit more opened towarRAB the fantasy and mecha genre)
-Zero tolerance for slife of life, romance and pure comedies.
-Prefer dubs but online's not out of the question (fire away with subs)
-Looking for action

Ok, I've seen my share of anime thanks to tv, but I'm running short on things to watch or rather I'm growing tired of what I've been watching.

Sorry about the long list lol.

Just thought I'd get a few things cleared up before getting my head bit off. I pretty much like to be indifferent about things, but in this case the anime with a * by it are the ones I intend on giving another chance.

Gurren Lagann, I was going into it being skeptical. Seeing that it was from GAINAX and I heard that it had some type of similarity to Evangelion. I'm not really all that fond of the artwork/character models when it comes to GAINAX, and I just can't stand Evangelion. All the depression made it hard for me to pick up on any type of story. And then, while I don't mind fanservice, too much of it tenRAB to turn me off. And with the way Yoko (?) is dressed, it just seems to scream fanservice. As I've said though, I've been thinking about giving it another chance simply because I've opened up to One Piece's (manga) artwork.

Gundam 00, something about holy war had turned me away from it at the beginning. But if it were to ever repeat on Sci-fi, I'll give it another go with a more open mind.

Code Geass, the school setting really had me skeptical seeing how those are usually where most of the fanservice is presented. And then I missed out quite a bit when I was relocating, and then I tried to get back into it, but I haven't been able to get back into ever since I got back.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a completely different matter altogether. And this seems to be where I'm getting my head chewed off at lately. I don't hate the series (if anything I just hate Ed and Al), in fact I thought the series was pretty good. It's just not one of those I'd say I like. (Same with Scryed and Vandread) Hopefully that makes some kind of sense lol.

Since your lists were somewhat random, I picked a few action series out of a hat:

Gilgamesh
X Remix(TV)
Key: The Metal Idol
Red Garden
The Twelve Kingdoms
Ergo Proxy
When They Cry - Higurashi

Come back when you've watched those.

1st off..TIred of DBZ!!!! Be gone DEMON!!! I kid of couese LOL! but it did somewhat catch me by suprise..I thought Getting tired of Dragonball was Impossible.

Well heres some I can suggest without doubt

since you started Gundam Seed you should try some of the other Gundam series too, like....

G Gundam
Gundam 0083
Gundam Wing
Gundam 00

And you might Give Gurran Laggen a try as well, & finally Gunslinger Girl is a good series too!

Haha, with DBZ, it's more like once you've seen it all, take a break from it (a long break) see other series, come back to it, and then you figure out that there's a lot in the series you just can't stand. (the goku reliance factor for one.)

I completely forgot about G Gundam.. I saw that when it was on Toonami too.

KZK, Gilgamesh is somewhat of a gothic (I think that's the word I'm looking for) type series right? (Same for Ergo Proxy?) I know a heard some things about it, one of them being that it was a little slow, or something like that. But I'll give a try anyway.

It is dark, twisted, and pointy, with dried blood crusting the back edges.

But then so are most the other shows I suggested.

Probably.

Also: Noir.

I would reccomend Shakugan no Shana, but you dislike romance.

Well, guess I might as welll. Though I haven't really gone out of my to try anything aside from whatever the masses say the current "best series ever" is for the past few years (Basically Haruhi, Lucky Star, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, and Black Lagoon) All of which fall into the same pitfalls I dislike (though it probably doesn't help I dislike slice-of-life shows and super robot shows, so there goes most of those by default)

The only recent series I enjoyed was Mega Man Star Force, but even that fell into similar fanservice/moe pitfalls (Sonia's entire character was nothing but the epitome of that trope, which was extremely disappointing) So I suppose I'm asking what recent series don't implore that stuff and might be worth checking out. Yes, I know I'm very picky.
