grand am gt VS buick regal GSE, how big is the difference?

the power to weight ratio @ 175 hp on a 3,000 lb vehicle is 0.05833

the power to weight ratio @ 240 hp on a 3,600 lb vehicle is 0.06666

the power to weight ratio @ 205 hp on a 4,100 lb vehicle is 0.05000

At 3,000 lbs it would take 198 hp to be even with the supercharged regal @ 3,600 lbs

so i am thinking about getting a grand am and i will probably get the gt model. my dad has a (very fast) 2001 buick regal GSE. i know that the regal would dominate the geand am gt but i have driven the regal before, so i am trying to use it as a comparison of sorts.

the grand am gt has 175 horsepower and weighs 3000 pounds. the regal has a supercharged 240 horse motor (240 hp AFTER the blower of course) and weighs 3600 pounds.
so the question is HOW MUCH more power would the grand am gt need to gain in order to match the regal? (im going for a "how much slower is it" deal here)

oh and btw, what about the 3000 pound 175 horse grand am gt compared to a 4100 pound 205 horse buick lesabre?

i know this is nowhere near what would actually be needed to tell what is faster, but im just trying to get an idea of how the grand am gt would pull at full power.

thanks for the help!
