Grafitti Challenges

I've been on another forum for my IQue 3600 but am new to this one. I also have a Palm T|X but really dislike it's Grafitti interface. I have to go soooo slow to get characters to register correctly or otherwise I get "periods" or incorrect characters. Has anyone else experienced this challange and have any suggestions? Thanks.
 
Graffitti issues with the TX are often, but not always, caused by a defective digitizer (touch screen).

To rule out a software problem do a hard reset and then without installing any additional software go to Memos and try it out.

Before the hard reset use an app like the freeware NVBackup to make a complete backup onto an SD card. Then you can restore to its exact pre-hard reset condition in a couple minutes time with no hassle.
 
Thanks for the suggestions. Completed the sequence but still have the same challenge. Called Palm and the rep walked me through the exact same sequence but no improvement. Then he suggested I just use the keyboard entry vice graffiti. However, I did get a case number within the warrantee period if I want to press it.
