Graffiti 2 input area is gone

Please help! I'm not sure what happened, but my T3's graffitti input area is now gone! The only way I can enter information is by entering letters & numbers. SImply disappeared. I tried an hard reset but nothing. I have no idea what caused this. :(

O.K.

Let's walk through this .........

Not sure how much experience or lack of that you have with the T3, so let's start from scratch:

Is there an "arrow down" on the bottom toolbar (all the way to the right)?

If so, tap and hold it ...........

Do three different options pop up (these are the three different input methods). Tap the one you want and you should be set.

If that's not there, we will need to ask the pro's on this forum.

The arrow down on the toolbar is unresponsive...
and when I open the T3 screen in full mode, input area is completely grey... What's happened?

Thank You very much:confused:

Have you just recently installed something new on the system, like launcher x or the like? In many cases, software that wasn't written specifically for the T3 requires additional files to keep the DIA functional. These would be statusbarlib and appsliprotate. Check to see if you have those files.

I've just installed the Phone Link Updater newer version but nothing else. Appsliprotate and statusbarlib is installed. I reset T3 even with an hard reset but the area is still grey. So I think is something in the ROM....:(

................just throwing stuff out because I know it's frustrating:

Did you try a "warm reset" (hold "up" button while pressing the reset)?

with all that you have done so far...another option maybe to uninstall your software from your computer (not your T3). Also prior to doing this,
a)I suggest that you go into your palm files on your computer.
(1) Once you are there, go to the file that has your name,
open that open.
(2) Then locate the backup file.
(3) I would suggest that you change the name of that
file to back.old.
(4) Then move that file out of your palm folder (remembering
where you put it).
(5) Then go ahead and uninstall the software from your
computer.
(6) Once the uninstall is done, for safety sake I would restart
your computer.
b) Once you have found your T3 software disk and restarted
(1) reload the software
(2) synch your T3 and check the results
(a) look for your graffiti area and see if it has
reappeared
(b) if it has reappeared that gives you a clue that a third
party software had interferred with your graffiti
area.

Do this and come back to us to inform us of your results and we will go from there....
