I'm a junior in college and I do not qualify for financial aid. BUT I need it, because my dad gives me only a few hundred dollars a month as his contribution, and my mom (who only makes $40k a year) has to pay most of my very high tuition costs, and her husband makes way too much money but doesn't pay for my education--his salary mainly disqualifies me from getting anything from the FAFSA. So basically I didn't qualify for any need-based undergraduate scholarships and I am now about to apply for graduate scholarships but I don't know if I'll qualify for anything or what's out there.
My fiance and I aren't allowed to get married until after college so I can't marry him now and qualify for independence (and anyway I need to keep my health insurance and mom's tuition contributions).
I have a 3.9 and I go to NYU. I'm looking for graduate scholarships or grants related to education, advertising, or creative writing (MFA) programs... any ideas or advice?
Oh and I'm an English major and creative writing minor, and I'll be graduating in three years.
