For a grade 11 high school project were developing a tricycle which can operate normally while charging a battery to power a motor while coasting and/or braking. The battery will be charged and will run the motor to help travel.
We just started and are still in the research and planning phase, with a budget of $2000.00
My questions are:
Would a Hub Dynamo be an efficient way to capture electrical energy while coasting, if it can be re-wired and approximate pricing?
How can the braking system capture the frictional energy produced when braking?
