Grab rail delete how to w/ pics

yes, it does.

i did this to my 07 and ran it for a while and THOUGHT i had no ill effects. then on a roadtrip i had to run it up to about 90-95 to catch up with the rest of the group. when i ran over the painted stripe on the road, it sent me into a wobble. bought sh*t my drawers. happened to me twice on that roadtrip. the second time i wasn't going as fast, but still got knocked into a wobble. after we got back home, i remounted the grab bar and never had another wobble again......

can i say for 100% that that was the reason? no, i can't. but it scared me enough that i didn't want to go through it again.

So what are our options to keep the bar and make it look better. Maybe move it in towards the seat some. There has to be something we can do to have the best of both worlds. I have a cop glide with a passenger back rest and detach luggage rack. I would love to take both off for that sleeker look sometimes but with that bar there it looks pretty dumb. What does a Street Glide have? Guess I am going to have to go over to the shop and see.

Man, I want to do this but it seems like it is 50-50 for the side effects of removing the bar. I know this winter i will be powder coating the chrome, but I also want to remove that bar. I wonder if for me since I dont do a whole lot of long riding if I would not notice the wobble. I do have to say that I noticed wobble when I rode out to Sturgis this year, but I think it had mostly to do with the load and almost bald rear tire.
